From 1962 to 1968 he was an activist of LZS Głuchowo (road cycling). During this period, the team achieved many successes in cycling in the youth and junior category, including the Polish Youth Championships. He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Polish Cycling Association in 1971.

From 1978, for several years he sat on the board of the Unia Leszno Sports Club. As an activist and donor, from 1993 to 2003, he served as the president of the Helping Hand Foundation. Its main task was comprehensive assistance to competitors who suffered serious injuries on speedway tracks. He supported them financially and in the purchase of rehabilitation equipment. As a sponsor of speedway sport, it supported speedway riders: Piotr Pawlicki, his sons Przemysław and Piotr, Adam Łabędzki, Roman Jankowski and his son Łukasz. In the years 1993 – 2003, he was a strategic sponsor of KP Obra Agro-Handel Kościan, leading this small club to many successes in football.

Currently, he is the owner of the Agro-Handel Śrem Riding Club, which, according to the ranking of the Polish Equestrian Association, has been the best club in Poland for 16 years. The competitors of KJ Agro-Handel are eight-time individual Polish Senior Champions in Show Jumping. In the colors of KJ Agro-Handel Śrem, the titles of the Individual Polish Champion in Juices through Obstacles were won by: Aleksandra Lusina (in 2007 and 2009), Mściwoj Kiecoń (in 2010 and 2011) and Jarosław Skrzyczyński (in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018).

The players of KJ Agro-Handel participate in the most important sports events in the country, in Europe and in the world, such as the European Championships, World Championships or the World Cup Final.

The Equestrian Club Agro-Handel Śrem is the organizer of many equestrian events of the highest rank. He organized the Polish Jumping Championships in all categories in 2011. In previous years, the most important equestrian events in Poland took place on the parkours of the Agro-Handel Śrem Riding Club.

A very rich, cyclical sports offer of the Agro-Handel Śrem Equestrian Club includes: the Polish Equestrian League, the White Eagle Olympic Hopes Tournament, the Polish Young Horses Sports Championship and an international event - CSI2*.

In 2003, Jan Ludwiczak established the White Eagle Foundation. He serves as its president. Its aim is to promote the idea of ​​entrepreneurship, support local social, cultural and sports initiatives, promote companies and business people, culture, sport and local government. Every two years, the Foundation organizes competitions aimed at distinguishing people, companies and institutions particularly meritorious for the development of entrepreneurship, science, culture, sport and local government in Poland, awarding them with an honorary diploma and the "White Eagle" statuette at a gala.

The White Eagle Foundation awarded in the XNUMXth editions such athletes and sports activists as: Roman Jankowski, Ryszard Szurkowski, Prof. Jerzy Smorawiński, Irena Szewińska, Włodzimierz Lubański, Józef Szmidt, Tomasz Majewski, Adam Małysz, Aleksander Doba, Czesław Lang and Anita Włodarczyk.

Jan Ludwiczak was the president of the Polish Food Producers Club operating at them. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski. He was active in industry associations: Association "Polish Meat", Association of Butchers and Meat Producers of the Republic of Poland and in the Association of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski.

For social activities and exemplary running of his own companies, he was awarded many prestigious awards and distinctions, including: "Polish Business Leader" - awarded by the Business Center Club, "Manager of the Year 2002" awarded by the Wprost magazine, the title of "Manager of the Highest Quality", he is a laureate awards E. Kwiatkowski "For Entrepreneurship" in 2009. Sports Personality of the Year 2018 - Winner of the plebiscite organized for the 61st time by the editorial office of Głos Wielkopolski. Jan Ludwiczak was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit in 1984 and the Golden Cross of Merit twice in 2002 and 2003.
