______________________________________________________________
He was born on March 30, 1896 in Vilnius. He died on October 7, 1968 and was buried in the Orthodox cemetery in Wola in Warsaw.
After completing his studies in Pskov and St. Petersburg, he farmed in Volhynia on the property inherited from his mother.
In December 1939, he became the manager of the State Stud in Ołyka near Łuck, and then in 1941 the manager of the Anglo-Arabian horse farm in Młynów near Dubno. At the end of the war, this stud was evacuated through Wolsztyn, where horses from Ołyka and Derazne joined, deep into Germany to Goslar lying at the foot of the Harz Mountains, and then to Erichsburg near Einbeck.
Together with Andrzej Krzyształowicz, with whom he worked in Nettelau, he contributed to the recovery of Arabian horses. The breeding horses from the studs of Ołyka, Młynów and Derazne, rescued from the ravages of war, were incorporated into the studs in Kurozwęki and Walewice and became the basis for breeding Anglo-Arabian horses. Until his return to Poland in August 1947, he managed the loading and clearance of horses returning to their homeland. In the same year, he started working as a thoroughbred horse breeder at the Widzów Stud, which was destroyed after the war.
His innate features - diligence and conscientiousness began to bring results after a few years. Horses bred by him have won, among others, 3x Derby, 4x Oaks, 4x Great Warsaw.
In Sombrero (1955) he won Derby and Great Warsaw, Laryks (1956) Derby and St. Leger, Mister Tory (1959) Derby and Great Warsaw.
In 1966 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
